Our History
Track Inc. stands as the preeminent dealer in North America for superior snow grooming vehicles and equipment, a position it has achieved since its inception in June 1976 by founders Stuart Campbell and Steve Bauer.
Initially established as an exclusive dealership in the Midwest for Tucker Sno-Cat® Corporation’s snow grooming vehicles, the company leveraged Stuart Campbell’s connections within the downhill ski industry, identifying it as its initial target market. However, the rapid expansion of snowmobile ridership and the consequent demand for well-maintained, groomed trails quickly shifted the company’s focus. Within a mere two years from its founding, Track Inc. found its primary revenue stream in sales to snowmobile clubs and entities responsible for snowmobile trail grooming, thereby significantly contributing to Tucker Sno-Cat® Corporation’s entrance into the trail grooming market. Presently, Tucker Sno-Cat® Corporation is distinguished as the sole North American manufacturer of vehicles specifically designed for snowmobile trail grooming.
After 40 years in business, Stuart Campbell retired and sold Track Inc to Mike Desmarais, who already owned the Tucker Dealership in the East. Mike then started importing the Snow Rabbit in 2016 to complement Tucker sales, and the compact groomer fit right in with the company’s existing clientele and values.
Today Track Inc. has two full service facilities, and one Canadian sales office: 1890 Highway 8 in Monico, Wisconsin, 172 Bogner Drive in Newport, Vermont and 101 rue Princiaple N in Richmond, Quebec.
